We offer both PCR and antigen testing for the detection of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. Our antigen tests, also known as rapid tests, are another option that can detect the presence of viral proteins. These tests are fast and can provide results within 15-30 minutes.
A DPC membership is absolutely worth the cost. First, because DPC is a doctor-led health service, doctors and their patients take charge of all healthcare decisions. There is no third party insurance system dictating treatments. Second, unlike conventional medicine, a DPC gives you the best access to, and more time spent with your physician. For that fixed affordable membership fee a patient is ALWAYS able to quickly access their physician- face-to-face, or by phone, email, or text. Finally, there are no additional charges for primary care procedures- such as getting stitches, freezing of lesions with cryotherapy, joint injection, etc. Many Direct Primary Care practices are able to offer heavily discounted (sometimes at cost) laboratory services and medications.
DPC is not insurance, it is an arrangement with a specific physician to be your personal primary care doctor. Your medical care will not be based on an insurance system that relies on co-pays, deductibles, fee-for-services, and other non-transparent charges. You will get your best customized health care.
DPC providers do not bill or get reimbursed by insurance companies or Medicare. However DPC and Medicare models can partner together beautifully for patients. If you have a DPC membership AND Medicare together, you will have all the additional coverages you might need- for specialists, X-rays, labs, hospital charges, surgeries, or medications. Also having Medicare coverage keeps you in compliance with federal law that mandates that everyone must have some medical insurance.
